Currently based in Wilderness, Garden Route, Western Cape, South Africa.
Janet Botes has contributed to numerous art projects and residencies, including Thupelo, OPENLab, and the Global Nomadic Art Project. In August 2015, she participated in the project’s second leg in South Korea and its South African counterpart, Stories of Rain, in September 2016. Janet’s second solo exhibition, ORGANISM, was held at StateoftheART Gallery in Cape Town in 2016, and her 3rd solo exhibition The Stones Speak, the Moss Whispers formed part of the Wilderness Art Festival in 2023.
